Fifth graders explored dozens of career paths by getting up close with vehicles used in real professions and connecting with experts in the field 🚓🚑🚛
From first responders to skilled trades and beyond, students had the chance to ask questions, make connections, and imagine what’s possible.

Atlantic Elementary School has officially earned its Heart Safe School designation through Project ADAM—a national program dedicated to saving lives through cardiac emergency preparedness.
Project ADAM helps schools across the country prepare for sudden cardiac arrest by ensuring staff are trained in CPR/AED use, emergency response plans are in place, and life-saving equipment is readily available when every second counts.
This recognition means Atlantic Elementary has gone above and beyond to create a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors—because being prepared can make all the difference. 💙👏

The Morehead City Middle School Honors Band has earned an invitation to perform in the Music for All Southeastern Regional Concert Band Festival in Atlanta, Georgia on March 25!
The band was selected as one of the Top 8 middle school bands in the entire Southeastern United States and will perform at the prestigious Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta.
👏 These talented students will be proudly representing Carteret County Public Schools on the national stage, showcasing the dedication, talent, and hard work of our young musicians and their directors.

West Carteret High School NJROTC cadets hosted their Annual Area Manager Inspection ⚓ — a comprehensive review conducted by Navy leadership examining every aspect of the program, from financial accountability and property management to cadet performance and drill execution.
West Carteret NJROTC was formally and proudly presented with the Distinguished Unit Award with Honors for 2025 🏅. This prestigious calendar-year recognition reflects excellence across all program standards. Rather than mailing the award, the Area Manager chose to present it in person — a meaningful testament to the strength of this unit.
Most importantly, WCHS cadets represented themselves, West Carteret High School, and Carteret County Public Schools with professionalism, discipline, and pride. Their performance exemplifies the leadership, character, and commitment cultivated through the NJROTC program.
Congratulations to all cadets and instructors on this outstanding achievement.
