Technology

White Oak Elementary has two computer labs.  One lab is used for weekly computer instruction and for integrating the curriculum with technology.  The other lab is used for NCS Learn (formerly CCC) to work on reading, math, spelling, and test taking skills.
In addition to the labs, each classroom is equipped with computers for additional technology instruction, integration, NCS Learn, and AR.

Light Houses of the Western Hemisphere. 
White Oak's fifth graders researched lighthouses using the internet to created a database on these lighthouses, visited Cape Lookout to explore ecosystems around the lighthouse, and created a multimedia presentation.  (Anne Hume, Lisa Pike, Cheryl DeBurkarte)  5th Grade
