My Role as the AIG Specialist

·       LEAD Teacher with the focus on Gifted Education

·        Observing teacher instruction of gifted students and making friendly suggestions for differentiation

·        Modeling instructional practice for teachers

·        Providing professional development to regular classroom teachers on gifted education

·        Serving as contact person for students, parents, teachers regarding CCPS AIG plan and gifted education

·        Facilitating data collection and screening/identification/placement process

·        Enrichment/critical thinking/problem solving work with Tier IV students (Tier III when determined needed).   This includes extra- curricular and special opportunities.
