REHEARSALS

Our rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:00am.  Students need to be present for the rehearsals in order to perform at each of the concerts.  Attendance will be taken each week, and tardiness will be recorded as well.  Chorus requires a high level of commitment and sincerity and will be expected from every student.

GUIDELINES

As you know, it is a great privilege and honor to be in this group.  In order to maintain the integrity of the group and uphold high academic standards, there are a few guidelines we must follow.  Please read all of these and carefully consider the commitment of joining our group.

  1. Students must hold at least a C average in all academic areas subjects and encore classes.  All classroom requirements must be met.  I will confer with the teachers each 9 weeks regarding the students’ academic standing.
  2. Students must follow school-wide behavior expectations at all times.  I expect chorus members to be a good example for those around them, representing our group and our school to the best of their ability.
  3. Any severe behavior issues will result in removal from the group.
  4. Students must be on time!  7:30-8:00 Excessive tardiness (5 or more) and absences (3 or more) from rehearsal will be dealt with on an individual basis and could result in removal from the group.

CONCERT ATTIRE

 WHITE TOP, BLACK BOTTOM

This outfit is very simple and looks fabulous!  It is also very inexpensive.

A simple white t-shirt, turtleneck, or button-down shirt is fine.  No graphics on the t-shirts!

Any black pants,(black jeans are okay) will be fine.  They do not have to be "tuxedo" style!

Black skirts for the ladies need to be knee-length or below.

SHOES.....well, they need to be comfortable.

Girls especially!  I know it is fun to "dress-up", but it is not worth falling down.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call the school, 393-3990,

 or email me  lisa.edmonds@carteretk12.org

I will be glad to help you any way I can,
