PAC BOARD MEETING Monday, March 30, 2009 Call meeting to order. 8:52 meeting called to order In attendance: Lisa Guarino, Khristy Benson, Martha Swiber, Kim Jones, Marsha Atwood, Lynn Daly, Bryson McLean, Ms. Everett, Ms. Patterson Accept Minutes - Minutes from the February meeting were accepted I. WOES PAC Projects Newsletter - Marsha Atwood the last edition for 08/09 school year will go out in April talked about including Table Talk information from the cafeteria newsletter Meet & Greet Khristy Benson past meet and greet went well we will have one more for the year on April 30th WOA status of process, courses,director Marsha Atwood Academy going well working on possible prospect for Director next year insurance issues has been resolved PTO will carry insurance to cover Bulletin Board Kim Jones Bulletin Board is good, need to update pictures if Mac is approved as board member no suggestions in the envelope at this time Replacement Board Member Lynn Daly Replacements will be discussed at the last meeting. Board Business Member suggestions/status Ms Everett/Bryson McLean Bryson McLean and Mrs. Everett are working on the details. Board of Education meeting update Lynn Daly · Lynn said that discussion was made at the BOE meeting in regards to Bogue Sound Elementary having Intruder Drills with the students. Mrs. Everett explained that we have them with staff at WOES but not with the children · Morehead Primary discussed viewing of PG Movies for 4th and 5th graders at their school the board is addressing issues regarding viewing movies at all schools in the county · Lynn brought up weather delays/closings and the BOE explained that we cannot delay/close for sections of the county due to sharing buses and sharing some classes Review/status of Archive Topics: These will be discussed next month -Weather delays/closures mentioned above in BOE update

Mrs. Everett explained that if there is a concern parents should obtain a form from the Media Center or from the BOE Website and submit the form for review. III. Transportation - Ms. Everett/Ms Patterson · Letter recently sent home regarding transportation if a parent is changing the way a child normally travels for a day, the office must know by 2:30 pm otherwise the child will travel the normal transportation taken · Bus #137 Best Behaved Bus for March VII. Facilities/Maintenance - Ms. Everett · Painting is done · Phones are installed in all rooms · Four new cameras have been installed on the security system VIII.
