The American Dreams production is presented in five
parts:America, Land of Dreams; We Dream
of a Land of Opportunity; We Dream of a Land Without Discrimination; We Dream
of a Land Without Terror; and Dare to Dream. The musical arrangements were written based on
familiar patriotic music with a twist.A
reoccurring musical theme is from the Aaron Copeland melody, Appalachian
Spring.
The band’s American Dream program features narration by
Captain David Arnold from the West Carteret High School ROTC.Historical sound bites from John F. Kennedy,
Dr. Martin Luther King, Ronald Reagan, Franklin D. Roosevelt is heard
throughout the program.In addition,
nine 8 by 13 feet historical digital photographs frame the band as they
perform.
