· West Carteret High School's primary focus is to support student learning through a variety of learning activities and allow for varied learning styles of its students.

· West Carteret High School students learn best when they actively participate in learning and produce quality work that is relevant and meaningful.
· West Carteret High School students demonstrate knowledge and skills, analyze information from a variety of sources, and test possible solutions to problems.
· West Carteret High School administrators, teachers, students, parents and community share the responsibility to provide a safe, orderly and comfortable environment.
· Yearly analysis of West Carteret High School student performance directs the focus for school-wide curriculum improvement.
· West Carteret High School encourages respect for cultural differences among students, staff, and the community during schools instruction and extracurricular activities.
