Media Center Policies & Information
Mission
statement
The mission of the West Carteret High School Media Center is to provide
a facility that is the information heart of the school and to make
available to all students at West Carteret High School a variety of
resources (print, web-based, audiovisual and other media) in order to:
support the curricular goals of the staff, administration and state of
North Carolina, to promote reading and technological literacy, to
provide for the intellectual and personal development of the students,
and to promote the skills and opportunities to access, evaluate and use
information.
Vision Statement
As an integral part of the West Carteret High School community, the Media
Center’s vision is to provide for the informational, educational, and
recreational needs of the students and staff of West Carteret High
School. We are committed to sharing the schools values and beliefs of
ensuring that current and future students graduate with the attitudes,
skills, and knowledge to be successful citizens in a diverse and rapidly
changing global society.
