New Teacher Evaluation
Instrument and Process
On August 6, 2009, Carteret County
Administrators received an overview of the
new
NCDPI Teacher
Evaluation Instrument and Process. Three significant
departures from the current TPAI are its longitudinal nature, the
section on Leadership, and the section on Reflection. The
local plan is to spend a year getting acquainted with the new
instrument and process. Then, we will be ready to roll it
out in SY 2010-2011.
A plan for
SY 2009-2010 is for the administration of each school to acquaint
staff with the new instrument one element at a time over the course
of the school year. Links to specific PPT slides and target dates for completion are as
