Web site for 2nd grade students studying weather over time and how
to prepare. Batten' Down the Hatches with the Beaufort Sea Dogs as
they travel through wind, rain, sleet and snow to learn how to
prepare for severe weather. Students will create and deliver an
Emergency Management Book to each elementary school in Carteret
County. Be prepared to follow our quest from hurricanes to
tornadoes.
This cross curriculum project focuses on helping students learn
about and compare the weather/climate of their neighborhood and
community to that of a sister school in a different community.
Technology rich lessons help children make real world connections to
everyday life using E-mail, the Internet, digital cameras,
video cam and desktop publishing skills.
