Lesson
1. Students will be asked to
place hands on home row keys. Next they will show knowledge of
Caps Lock, Shift key, Delete key, mouse, curser, space bar,
and the return key.
2. Next students will identify
the computer program that they will be using as a word
processing program. They will demonstrate an understanding of
how to make bold print, size of font, page setup, how to
center text, and how to use tools available to move graphics.
3. Students will then type
their Haiku, use the library to retrieve their graphics, and
place them on their page.
Upon completion, those working with partners will then allow
their partners time to go through the same process of setting
up their page of Haiku. Students working with partners have
been asked to assist their partners and help to edit their
work.
4. Once Haiku and graphics are
finished, students will be asked to explain how to save their
work and to print their page of Haiku.
5. Closure will be demonstrated
by the student's final product.
Assessment:
Observe students consistency
placing their hands on the home row and using special keys
appropriately.

rubric.
