professional manner showing proper usage and manners.

Teacher's Lesson Goals/ Objectives: The behavioral
objective is to teach students proper manners and language in using
e-mail. By the end of the lesson the student will be able to send
and read appropriate e-mail.

- Students' assigned a box to send and receive mail using Gaggle.net
|
- Gaggle.net Access Level = Send to Group Users
|
- Another 4th grade class to send and receive a message
from within the school.

Pre Activities: Students learn how to write a
friendly letter. Students write one in the class.
Students study e-mail and its capabilities including proper usage.
Students are pre assigned a student to write in another room along
with their address using Gaggle Net.
Activities:
1. Students go to the library where they are introduced to
e-mail using Gaggle.net netiquette use of email.
3. Teacher modeled how to use Gaggle.net email service
(create, save, read, send and print email messages).
4. Students write, address, and send their pre written letter
to another student. Many students learn about carbon copy to another
student if the numbers did not match within the two classrooms.
5. Following lesson: Students use search strategies to
bring up Gaggle.net. Then open and retrieve any mail that they
have. They were allowed to send another message in response to
what was written to them.
Independent practice: Students could check
periodically to see if they had mail and could respond back
effectively.
Closure: Students reviewed procedures.
Students typed, sent, read, and received mail back.
Assessment: I observed that students could independently
compose, send and received an e-mail. Students reviewed through
discussion. Students print an e-mail the composed and their
response.
