Brief Description: Students will be using BES Web
site to locate the teacher’s web page and how to use a link on
bats.
Approximate time required: 30 minutes

Teacher's Lesson Goals/Objectives: The student will be able
to access the teacher web site at home and use the link to gather
information to discuss with parents on the different pair reading
(fiction and nonfiction) done in class.

- Discuss what is meant by Pair Fiction and Nonfiction
- Introduce the First Lesson:
- Fiction: Story Out of the Light, into the Night
- Nonfiction Story: The Truth About Bats
Activities:
- Log On
- Click on Internet Explore Icon
- Scroll down BES Web Page
- Locate Teacher Web Site
- Click in box
- Type p (Parker)
- Click Go
- Click on LINK
- Click on Bat Link
- Click on the different icons found in the web site
(Discussion)
- File Close
- Log Off
Closure:
Ask students to explain the different ways they could use the link
to gather information at home and for other subject areas.
Assessment:
Each student will be given the address to BES web site.
