Beaufort  Middle School 

Electronic spreadsheet scoreboard keeps everyone aware of current standings.

Students create a Noted Black American PowerPoint presentation.  Students will present their presentation on the school on  Feb. 19th at 9 am. MVC-015F.JPG (212108 bytes) Students view their final product. Don't you think they were pleased with their hard work?

Fifth grade students learn spreadsheet vocabulary words using word processing. Seventh grade students work on the stock market simulation. Eighth grade students  prepare material for their DC web page.

Students new to BMS review for performance test. 

Jan-Feb: Middle schools begin review for the multiple choice and performance section of the North Carolina Computer Skills Test.  All students new to the system and those who did not successfully pass either the section of the test taken in October will go through the review process.  
Testing Window:  Multiple Choice Test is Feb. 10th
Performance window begins Feb. 11th-Feb. 27th

England Trip

Jan- June: In 2000, it started out as a simple 6th grade email project between Beaufort Middle School and Rastrick High School in England. In 2001 and 2002, it developed into teleconferences and exchange visits between two educators, Peta Godfrey and Janet McLendon. Then in April of 2003, Rastrick High School students traveled to Beaufort Middle School finally to meet their e-pals face to face. Now it is Beaufort Middle's turn to visit England. This site will document the experience from trip preparations to our travel abroad. Trip is planned for June 2004.
