The PTO has planned an exciting year for the students and staff of SES. We
kicked off the new school year by putting some money in the teachers'
accounts, so they could have money when they needed it.
If you plan to volunteer at the school this year or with PTO, please
remember the county requires you to fill out a new application and
background check each year. Please ask the office and they can provide you
with those forms and the date of the orientation class if you have not
completed that. The applications have to be filled out each year, but you
only have to attend the orientation class once. Please return the forms to
the office.
August
– The PTO provided breakfast for the staff August 24th and a special little
treat will be given on to the staff from the PTO on the first day of school. October - is the tentative date the PTO has planned for the Schools Fall Festival. This year we hope to have a haunted house and hay rides (haunted and non-scary for the little ones). Talk to your child’s teacher about your idea for a booth and let them know you can help. Each class will be judged on their decorations and the class that wins will be rewarded. Official rules and requirements will be provided to the teachers as we get closer to the event.
The money that is raised by the PTO is used to make improvements around our
school or is given back to the teachers to be used in the classrooms. The
money is used to directly or indirectly affect each and every child. A
financial report will be given at our first PTO meeting in September which
will show the previous year's activity. Please contact Annette Willis if you would like to volunteer to help our PTO.
