    Who We Are: The Parent Resource Center recognizes that parents are a vital factor in education. Effective parental involvement is an integral part  in developing family/school partnerships to enhance learning for students and provide for student success. Active parental involvement produces benefits such as:

    1. Sharing ways to help educate children at home;
    2. Informing parents that the educational process can work for their children;
    3. Encouraging closer school/community ties, and
    4. Facilitating closer parent/child relationships.

    What We Do: The Parent Resource Center provides:
    • Workshops
    • Information opportunities
    • A place for parents to share ideas
    • Newsletters for parents
    • Support, information and referrals
    • Lending library
    • Media center for parent training materials
    The Parent Resource Center is staffed by Title I Parent Coordinator Jackie Lancaster (728-4583). She develops plans to meet the identified needs of parents. Our school administrators, teachers and community representatives are interested in promoting positive parental involvement.
