Type here Students assigned Tic tac toe weather differentiated assignment. Presentations begin on  Dec. 4. Students will learn how water moves through the water cycle, how relative humidity is affected by temperature,list the three cloud types, identify four main types of precipitation.

Type here Students identify four types of air masses, four types of fronts, explain how fronts change weather, and explain how high and low pressure affects weather.

Students will present their passport projects to the class
Week of November 5th:
Students will conclude their passport project presentations.
Week of November 12th:
Students will study the East Africa region of the continent focusing on Ethiopia and Kenya.
Week of November 19th:
Students will conclude their study of East Africa with a formal assessment.
Week of November 26th:
Students will begin their study of West Africa with a Map Study.  Their study will proceed to focus on the countries of Nigeria and Mali
Week of December 3rd:
Our study of West Africa will conclude this week with a formal assessment.  Students will then begin working on Passport Project #2 focusing on countries of either East or West Africa.
Week of December 10th:
Students will spend time in the library and the computer lab researching a country for their project and preparing a powerpoint presentation.
Week of December 17th:
Projects will be concluded during this short week.
Week of December 24th:
No School
Week of December 31st:
Students will review the work completed prior to the holiday in preparation to present their projects to the class
Week of January 7th:
Students will present their Passport Project #2 to their classmates, take their "Big Quiz" and award stamps.  We will begin our study of North Africa at the end of the week.
Week of January 14th:
We will continue our study of North Africa this week focusing on the countries of Egypt and Mali.  Students will have the opportunity to take a map test on all of the countries of the continent of Africa to earn extra points.
Week of January 21st:
We will switch gears entirely this week and begin studying Asia.  Our focus this week will be the overall geography of the continent.  We will use atlases to learn about the continent and review basic map skills.
Math:  Salter
Week of October 29th:
Lessons 7.1 thru 7.6.  Translate equations, inequalities and Functions. 
Week of November 5th:
Review on Monday, Tuesday -Practice Test (any student who has a note that says they reviewed with a parent and signature earns 5 points toward test).  Wednesday will be test.  Then we will continue with equations.
Week of November 12th:
Monday is Veteran's Day Holiday.  Work on Equations.  Start Functions.
Week of November 19th:
Monday and Tuesday work with inequalities and functions.  Wednesday is an early release day.  Thursday be Thankful and enjoy family time.  Friday continue.
Week of November 26th:
Review with chapter review page 362-362.  Remember with a note that they reviewed with a parent and signature, students earn 5 points toward test.  Then work with inequalities.
Week of December 3rd:
Work with worksheets on functions and graphing.  Students need to learn to substitute in for x.
