Homework.....we love to do our work!!

Look for new homework every Monday.  You will see a bag of beginning reader books.  Sit with your child each night and help read the patterned books....point to the words, talk about the illustrations, tell your child the name of the author.  By the end of the week, your child will probably be reading those books to you.

Return the books every Friday.  I will check them in, and get new ones for the next week.

Written homework also is sent home each Monday, and needs to be returned each Friday.  Have your child put her/his name on all papers.  Sit with your child and do a little work each night until completed.

Did you know that reading with your child every day for at least 20 minutes is the most beneficial homework you can do?  What an easy way to spend quality time with your child, and have fun too!!  If you visit the local library, your child will see that you value reading and that good habit will benefit all of you!
