Young Gardeners

    Mrs. Martucci's fifth graders are determined to make a positive difference around our school, and their efforts this week have definitely done that.  First they weeded and cleaned up a large area of our school courtyard.  Then they planted many pansies that will brighten everyone's days as fall and winter finally come to Newport. 

    The young gardeners were helped and supported by Newport's Garden Club, and Mrs. Gray and Mrs. Robinson were here to advise and assist the eager students.  Thank you to everyone responsible for the beautiful flowers that will brighten our days for months to come.
