Classroom Procedures

Classroom Procedures:

1. All work is due the day it is assigned, unless absent due to illness, doctor appointment, or family emergency. 5 points will be deducted for each day work is late.

2. All tests are announced one week in advance. Study sessions are held in class and in the afternoon from 3-4 p.m. (with written permission from parents at least 1 day prior to the test) the day before the test. Test and study session dates and information are written on the board.

3. You can earn extra points by rewriting your incorrect answers in a complete sentence with the right answer from any quiz or test (in the same 9 weeks). 5 points for any correction on a quiz and 3 points on a test.

4. Students are responsible for writing down all assignments, important information, and study sessions in their planner. Parents should check student planners each night.

5. No name papers will have 5 points deducted from the grade and placed in a tray for students to claim and turn in.

6. Grading:

     Quizzes: 25%

     Homework: 25%

     Tests: 25%

     Labs: 25%
