PHYSICAL FITNESS

Physical fitness is the ability to complete everyday activities without becoming overly tired.  Fitness plays a large role in an individuals quality of life. Students at MCMS participate in the President's Physical Fitness Challenge every year.  It is an important tool that helps students see their strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully, every student will attempt to improve or maintain their fitness level after completion of the fitness test.  

 The components of fitness that are tested are: muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and cardio respiratory endurance.  The test includes the One Mile run, curl-ups, flexed arm hang, pull-ups, sit and reach test, and the shuttle-run.
