and you want another one like it? Check out the Book Seer. His
magical powers will create a list of books for you similar to
the book you just finished. It doesn't have to be one you just
finished. It could be you read it last year and have experienced
trouble finding something else you enjoyed as well as that book.
As long as you know the title and author, you are all set for
the all-knowing Book Seer! Check it out.
Lexiles

This site is a great tool for students,
teachers, and parents. It includes a plethora of information on
lexiles. It features a book search feature to match your
interests and lexile for a tailored book list. It contains a
text analyzer which permits the user to find out the lexile of
an article or his or her own writing selection. This an awesome
tool for middle school students with high lexiles. As the
students know, we do not select books solely based on their
lexile. We want students reading what they want to read first
and foremost. Most fictional works fall between 600 and 1100. A
student with a high lexile can read a fantasy book below his or
her lexile, and once a month, read a non fiction article in his
or her lexile range.
