Philosophy

We believe that the task of the teacher and all persons employed in our school is to facilitate and motivate learning by the students and to help the students develop a sense of independence and responsibility for themselves and others. In order to effect this, we must be knowledgeable in subject areas, be aware of the needs of our students, and effectively manage instructional time and student behavior. Our ultimate goal in teaching is to assist students in developing critical thinking skills, in applying their knowledge in daily situations, and in fostering a positive attitude toward themselves. Reaching this goal will foster individual fulfillment and provide skills necessary for becoming productive citizens.
