General Information:  

Our Media Center provides a warm, relaxed and inviting atmosphere for students and staff. Students visit the library weekly for a lesson and book checkouts. Students also come in small groups during the day to check out books, or to take AR tests. Students participate in the Accelerated Reading Program and work towards their reading goals. Teachers and Media Center staff work together to monitor reading growth. We encourage students to read books that challenge their reading ability.

Media Center Hours: 

The Media Center is open from 7:45-3:20 (on school days)

Library Rules: 

1. Use quiet voices at all times.   

2. Walk.   

3.  Listen carefully to the teacher and each other staff. 

4. Follow directions.   

5. Keep hands and feet to yourself.   

6. Raise your hand to be called on.

Check-out Policy: 

• Kindergarten and First Grade students are allowed to check-out one book at a time. 

• Second and Third Graders may check-out two books. 

• Parents of students may obtain check-out  privileges by setting up an account with the Media Specialist.  They may check-out up to five books.  Patrons will receive a late notice after two weeks.

Lost or Damaged Books:

Students will be charged for the replacement cost of a lost or damaged book. They will not be able to check-out books until charges have been paid.

Overdue Notices:

Overdue notices are printed and sent home with children once a month as a reminder to return or renew materials that have been out for a period of more than two weeks.
