The LENC Project, funded in part by a grant from the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund, is an initiative by Carteret County Schools to:

facilitate the application of educational technology towards higher levels;

shorten the length of time normally taken by teachers to reach those higher levels;

provide for participating teachers to design their own environments and projects patterned upon what they will have learned; and

institutionalize technology as a natural, seamless part of the learning experience.
