The Chubby Snowman

A chubby little snowman
Had a carrot nose.
Along came a bunny,
And what do you suppose?

Well, our kindergarten kids haven't had the chance to build a real snowman thus far this winter...but we've had lots of fun painting and drawing some of our chubby white friends.

Early in the month, we used colored chalk to create some beautiful winter scenes for our back bulletin board.

We also complete a writing activity about snowmen.  The first part of our activity was a cut and paste snowman.  Then we completed a shared writing activity where each student wrote about his/her snowman.  The turned out so nice that Miss Renee and Miss Eugenia put them in the hallway for everyone to see!

Finally, we had fun painting snowmen with Mr. Bob during art.  This was a two day project.  On the first day we painted the bodies of our snowmen.   Then on the second day we added colored chalk features such as hats, eyes, scarves and boots.  Our finished snowmen made a beautiful display!
