Don’t Forget…
**Our fall celebration party is Monday, October 31st at 10:00. Remember NO COSTUMES!
**Monday is also an early release day!!
This is what we did today…
…We had morning group time. Today Miss Renee wrote a morning message for us. Then we played show me what you know with our message. Some kids showed letters that they knew and some showed us words! Way to go kinderkids!! We also reread our pumpkin poem then some of our students read it for us. Finally we read a new book called From Seed to Pumpkin!
…We went to breakfast and PE.
…We had reading groups. Today we wrote a sentence about Farm Friends.
…We went to centers.
…We carved our pumpkins. First we did an experiment to see if pumpkins would sink or float! 13 students predicted that the pumpkin would float and 5 predicted that it would sink. Guess what…our pumpkin floated!! We also measured our pumpkin using cubes and counters. Then we cut off the top and everyone helped scoop out the pulp and carve the face. Miss Eugenia’s group carved a moon and bats on their pumpkin and Miss Renee’s group carved a scary face.
…We went to lunch.
…After lunch we completed our calendar board.
…We finished our pumpkins.
…We completed a patterning sheet and worked in our journals.
…During quiet time we watched It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Have a Great Weekend!!
