**Our fall celebration party is Monday, October 31st at 10:00. Remember NO COSTUMES! Miss Mila will be calling parents this week concerning our party.

**Monday is also an early release day!!

This is what we did today…

…We had morning group time. During group we shared about our weekend, read the book Pumpkin, Pumpkin, made a diagram that compared pumpkins and apples and sang some songs.

…We went to reading groups. Each group worked on different skills.

…We began making a fall book about things we see in the fall.

…We went to centers. Some of us painted pictures in art today!

…We had story time.

…We talked about three new words that will go on our word wall.
These are words that we will see a lot in our reading and writing. Our three words for this week are I, a and see. You may wish to post these words on your refrigerator and practice reading them nightly.

…We went to lunch.

…After lunch we completed our calendar board.

…In math we completed a jack-o-lantern glyph. A glyph is a code that helped us make our jack-o-lanterns. We will put our jack-o-lanterns in the hallway.

…We had rest time.

…We wrote in our journals.

FYI…

…Some of our kids are already low on crayons. You may consider purchasing your child a new box the next time you are in town.

…Our website is up and running. I will post pictures from our field trips sometime this week. I will also begin posting our daily letters on line!
