One of the February/March activities that the kids and I really loved was making bird feeders to hang outside our windows. The feeders turned out great and we have enjoyed watching all the beautiful birds that have stopped by for a treat.
We used milk cartons from lunch for our feeders. We painted and decorated them to make them pretty...

Leslea, Gunnar and Chloe paint their bird feeders.

Leslea is very proud of her work!!
After the paint dried, we added bird seed and hung them on the bushes right outside our window...

Gunnar and Christian find a spot for their feeders...

...so does Spencer!

Dane and Kelly know just where to hang theirs.
Then finally, birds started to visit our feeders. It was always exciting to see the different kinds of birds that would come for a snack.

Here is one of the birds that stopped by for a treat.

Can you see the bird in our feeder on the ground?
