Happy Birthday Mallory!!! Mallory was helper today in honor of her special day.

Miss Eugenia was not here today…we missed her bunches!

Other than Miss Eugenia not being here today…we have had a WONDERFUL day. The kids worked very hard and we got a lot of work completed today!!!

Don’t forget our field trip to the fire station is on Friday at 1:00. We would like for some parents to join us…so if you are available, please come by the school and walk over with usJ

A big thanks to Maleah and Garrett Allen for bringing in pumpkins. Now we have our two pumpkins for next week’s activities. Thank you to everyone who brought in apples. We should have enough apples to complete this week’s activities.

We have had a busy day!
…We worked on a morning sheet.
…We had morning group. We sang some songs and then Miss Renee wrote a morning message for us. Then we played a game called show me what you know. Everyone got a chance to come up and show us something that they knew about our morning message. It could be a word or a letter. Everyone knew something about our message.
…We went to breakfast and PE.
…We had journal time. Miss Renee and Miss Page (Garrett’s Mom) helped us write something in our journals.
…We went to centers. Miss Renee listened to us read our take home readers during center time.
…We had a apple tasting event. We each tasted a red delicious, a golden delicious and a granny smith apple. Then we decided which one was our favorite.
…We made a graph that showed our favorite apple. Granny Smith and red delicious were equal because 7 people liked granny smith and 7 people liked red delicious. 6 people like golden delicious.
…We read a Mercer Mayer book….I Was So Mad.
…We went to lunch.
…We had calendar time.
…We made a book about how an apple grows.
…We had recess and rest.
…We talked about fire safety. Today we discussed the importance of making a fire escape plan.
