Cape
Lookout Environmental Education Center
www.cleec.org/programs2006.htm
The
Cape Lookout Environmental Education Center invites your child to experience the
natural wonder of an undeveloped barrier island through engaging hands-on
activities featured in a variety of specialized summer camp sessions. From
the study of marine life to examining the impact of human activity on barrier
islands, CLEEC campers become informed stewards of this important, and fragile,
coastal resource.
All
camp sessions provide participants with opportunities for experiential learning
and self-discovery. Programs integrate hands-on science activities,
journal writing, poetry and interactive games to allow camp participants to
process and express their Cape Lookout experience in personally meaningful ways.
Recreational activities include (when appropriate) swimming, kayaking, hiking,
arts and crafts, singing and group games.
CLEEC
staff members are experienced, caring and knowledgeable people who enjoy working
with children. Since 1992, parents have relied on CLEEC staffers to
educate, captivate and care for their children.
PLEASE NOTE: Summer 2006 camp sessions are limited
to 16 participants unless noted otherwise. Campers will be registered on a first
