Application Process
The East Carteret Twilight
School Success Academy is an opportunity for students to recover
credits due to failure or loss of credit due to excessive
absences. It is an opportunity for students behind in credit,
grade level, or out of sync with their graduating class. All
grade levels are eligible for The Success Academy; however,
priority is given to juniors and seniors. There are 20 seats
available per semester for students to recover a minimum of 2
credits though Nova Net, a computer learning program that
follows NC Course of Study. To assist with questions or
understanding of the material, 4 academic teachers will rotate
days and subjects, for example, Science on Monday, English on
Tuesday, etc.
Nova Net lets the student work
independently and at his/her own pace. It uses multiple
learning styles, like sound, visual, and hands-on, to keep the
student interested. Plus, Nova Net is easy to use. Students
recovering credit for and EOC course are required to take and
pass the EOC.
