Volunteer Information

Volunteers are vital to the success of our county's students.

If you are interested in volunteering in the Carteret County Public School System, please complete the attached Application for Participation as a Volunteer and return it to a school office or to the school system's Central Services office in Beaufort.

Application for Participation as a Volunteer

All volunteers in the public school system must agree to a background check. This is an important step in providing our students and staff with a safe learning environment.

Volunteers are also required to attend a one and a half hour Volunteer Training Session. During this brief session, information about working students, ideas on teaching methods and confidentiality regulations will be shared. This training will be informative and helpful to all volunteers.

After the Application for Participation as a Volunteer is approved, volunteers will receive a letter containing a list of the dates and times of coming training sessions.
