Camp Invention registration opens for 1st-6th graders

Carteret County Public School System will host four sessions of Camp
Invention during the summer of 2008. Designed for rising 1st through 6th
graders, Camp Invention is a week-long summer enrichment program
designed to promote creativity, teamwork, inventive-thinking skills, and
science literacy.
Carteret County's four sessions of Camp Invention will take place on the
following dates at the following locations:
June 16-20, 2008 -
Bogue Sound Elementary School with the Create curriculum; and
Harkers Island Elementary School with the Create curriculum
June 23-27, 2008 -
Beaufort Elementary School with the Imagine curriculum; and
Morehead City Elementary School with the Imagine curriculum.
Any Carteret County Public School System student is eligible to attend
any of the four sessions, or one students could attend two of the
sessions - one each week.
The cost is about $205 per camper. Scholarships will be actively sought
for students who wish to attend.
