History -
Carteret County voters overwhelmingly approved two school bond issues
totaling $50 million on election day, November 8, 2005.
The bond issues were divided in two questions:
First Bond Question = $45,810,000 - to pay costs of improvements and
additions at 14 sites.
Second Bond Question = $4,200,000 - to pay costs of construction of
about 24 classrooms/administrative addition at East Carteret High
School.
Each
of the county's 34 precincts and the early voting/absentee voting
carried the two bond questions.
