Maready & Associates LLC hired to oversee bond construction projects

Carteret County Board of Education members voted February 14, 2006, to award a contract to oversee the school bond construction projects. Keith Maready & Associates, LLC, received the contract and will focus on the school construction projects to be completed with the $50 million voters approved in November 2005.

Keith Maready is the president of the company and a West Carteret High School graduate. The company has managed school and commercial construction projects in North Carolina including the $7.3 million Clayton Middle School, the $11.2 million Dopaco Manufacturing plant and the $16.1 million Northside Elementary/Middle School complex. Maready & Associates have also managed additions at schools and commercial properties across the state.

“We are pleased to have Maready & Associates LLC on board to handle the construction projects provided for by the November school bonds,” Carteret County Public School System Superintendent Dr. David Lenker said. “The citizens voted to do these projects and it is important that the work be done correctly and as efficiently and economically as possible. Having this consultant on duty should insure that happens.”

Dr. Lenker noted that Maready & Associates would work closely with the school system’s Plant Operations Director Judson Walton.
