2010 Brad Sneeden
Marine Science Academy Applications Posted
The Brad
Sneeden Marine Science Academy will take place June 14-18, 2010, and is
for rising seventh, eighth and ninth graders. This is a fast-paced, week-long day camp.
Students are active every day and involved in hands-on
activities such as trawling from a boat, conducting field research on a
barrier island, learning about aquaculture and setting up experiments.
Students also work with remotely operated vehicles, dissections,
GPS systems and technology. While all these activities take place,
students learn about and observe the many careers in the marine
sciences.
Applications for the
2010 Academy can be found by clicking
Applications.
A Spanish version of the application is also available by clicking

Applications are due April 23, 2010. Only 50 rising seventh, eighth and
ninth graders will be selected from Carteret County to attend and only
10 will be selected from Craven County.
