Croatan High School Happenings

       Can you believe that we are already beginning a new school year? Summer seemed to fly by and as wonderful as it was, it is time to begin a new chapter in the lives of our Cougar Family. We welcome new students and the Class of 2012 as well as welcoming back our returning students. To the entering class of Freshmen, you have a wonderful opportunity to continue your education at the best high school in the area. You are attending a North Carolina High School Honor School of Excellence and no one else in the area can say that. Be proud that you are a part of this wonderful school of higher education. Being new to high school life, get involved, make new friends and begin today preparing for graduation. Make sure that you set your goals high and remember that those that don't plan ahead, are headed down a bumpy road. Make new friends and know that the faculty and staff are here to help you succeed. Utilize what you have and make memories. To the Class of 2009, all I can say is WOW, you made it!!! You are Seniors and you also have a busy year ahead of you. You are definitely on the downhill slope. Keep working hard and never lose sight of what is at the end of the road. Study hard, play hard, seek out scholarship opportunities and don't wait to the last minute to ask teachers for letters of recommendation. In closing, have a great year, it is all up to you!
