Animal Science II- Small Animals is the second part to the Animal Science program.  In Animal Science I you learned about large animals. (Cows, Swine, Chickens, Horses, Dairy Cows, Goats and Sheep)  In Animal Science II you will learn about all the small animals. 

• Learn about the Small Animal Care Industry

• Learn Anatomy and Physiology

• Dog Breeds

• Cat Breeds

• Rabbit and Ferret Breeds

• Chinchillas, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Mice and Rats

• Birds used as pets

• Fish

• Amphibians

• Reptiles

The information you gain from taking Animal Science I and II can help in any animal science field.  Veterinarians, Zoologist, Animal Breeders, Animal Trainers, Animal Owners. For students interested in pursuing a career in the animal industry I strongly recommend taking the two Animal Science classes the Ag Department offers.
