Construction Technology II

Construction Technology II is a three hour class with an emphasis of training residential carpenters. Students will work on projects both on and off campus requiring them to visit actual construction sites. All students will be required to provide the following before they can participate in these activities.

Purchase the school’s insurance plan or provide instructor with proof of accident/health coverage. The school provided plan is very reasonable and is an excellent addition to one’s own insurance plan.

Provide personal safety equipment. Safety glasses are required and must have the ANSI certification Z87 stamped or printed on the lenses or frame. Safety shoes are also required having a steel toe and sole. These must be worn on all job sites as well as long pants.  It is OK to have tinted safety glasses as long as they are Z87 rated however, no sun glasses will be allowed. Optional equipment would include gloves, sunscreen, and maybe a water bottle.
