Journals are written daily to start class.
Week 1, August 25-29: Introduction to class policies and procedures. Vocabulary lessons 1 and 2. Personality Bag, journals and notebooks due Friday.
Week 2, September 2-5: Vocabulary lessons 3 and 4. Introduce Book of the Month projects and Speak.
Week 3, September 8-12: Vocabulary lessons 5 and 6. Writing process and Ordeal by Cheque.
Week 4, September 15-19: Vocabulary lessons 7 and 8. Reading process and trait crates.
Week 5, September 22-26: Vocabulary lessons 9 and 10. Introduction to Non-fiction.
Week 6, September 29-October 3: Vocabulary test on first 100 words. Speak seminar and test.
Week 7, October 6-10: Writing process, vocabulary lessons 11 and 12.
Week 8, October 13-17: Vocabulary lessons 13 and 14, continue the writing process, Introduce Night.
Week 9, October 20-24: Vocabulary lessons 15 and 16, Night pages 1-43, Non-fiction.
Week 10, October 27-31: Vocabulary lessons 17 and 18, Night pages 45-80.
