Each class will be required to keep a notebook/portfolio . This product will count 30% of the students six weeks grade. The student will need:

                    * one, three ring binder, 1 1/2 to2 inch in size

                    * white notebook paper

                   * 5 dividers

 The note book will be divided into five sections. They include vocabulary, class work/notes,  homework, test, and projects.

Text books will be provided by the school. Students must have the text covered within a week. This will be a grade.

The class rule sheet will be given to students on the first day of class. This sheet MUST be the FIRST page in the notebook each 6 weeks. It is worth 10 points on the notebook grade each 6 weeks.

The notebook will be graded on :  

                                                     1- the rules sheet
                                                    2- neatness ( absence of graffiti and doodling)
                                                    3- organization
                                                    4- vocabulary ( 5 points each) 
                                                    

                                                     5-completion of assignments
                                                    6-collection of returned work

Other needed items include:          *a positive attitude
                                                    *a willingness to try
                                                    *a desire to learn
                                                    *a pencil
                                                    *a black pen

Each class has a $ 7.50 fee that is used to purchase items that are not supplied by the county or state. An example is food for the cooking units offered in some classes.
