Curriculum Assistance

A portion of each day will be dedicated to independent study of core class work.  Curriculum Assistance is designed to assist in meeting your area of need as written in your Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Curriculum Assistance is NOT a study hall.  CA class time is not to be used as a time to do your homework or to work on projects for other classes.  I will assist you in the areas you may need help. 

Monday:

Students will be assigned vocabulary words from their regular classes. They are required to define each of the words with enough detail to explain what each word means.

Homework: 

Define vocabulary words and maintain their daily planner.

Tuesday:

Student will write a complete sentence with each vocabulary word.  The sentence must show that the student knows the meaning of the word and how to correctly use it in a sentence.  If the sentence is not correct, the student will have to rewrite it correctly before receiving credit for the assignment.

Homework:

Complete sentences with each vocabulary word and maintain their daily planner.

Wednesday:

Students will practice writing each of the vocabulary words.

Homework:

Complete practice writing and maintain their daily planner.

Thursday:

Students will be required to review vocabulary words and prepare for quiz.

Homework:

Study vocabulary words for quiz and maintain their daily planner.

Friday:

Students will be required to take a vocabulary test.

Homework:

Maintain their daily planner.
