The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages: www.actfl.org - This website gives the national standards for foreign language in the public school system.
Instructional Services: North Carolina Department of Public Instruction: www.ncpublicschools.org - This website creates and evaluates curriculum for all subject areas in the K-12 program.
Learning the language:
Learn Spanish: www.studyspanish.com - This website gives help with Spanish pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, specific situations, and cultural questions.
E.L. Easton Languages Online: http://eleaston.com Tested out by my friend, this site has opportunities to test your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for a multitude of languages. Speakers are necessary for use of this site.
Fodors.com: http://www.fodors.com/language/ This site is cool because it lets you choose from different situations and phrases that are useful in each situation.

The Day of the Dead: http://www.mexonline.com/daydead.htm - At this link the history the Mexican tradition called "Day of the Dead" is told, explaining the ritual and why it's done.
