I am a Carteret County native, having grown up in Newport.  I attended Newport Elementary, Broad Creek Middle, and graduated from West Carteret in 1998.

After that, I went to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (GO TAR HEELS!) on a NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship.  I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Romance Languages (Spanish Concentration).

I then enrolled in the Master Teacher Fellows Program at Wake Forest University, receiving my Master's Degree in Education in July 2003.

So, that brings me back here.  I guess things do come full circle, don't they?

I am now in my SIXTH year here at Croatan, and I must say that this place is AWESOME!  Besides teaching Spanish I, II, and now III, I help supervise the Improv Club, work with the wrestling team as a sponsor for team statisticians, and am a first responder for our school's athletic teams.
