Behavior Plan

Make-up Work:

Obtaining all make-up work is the responsibility of the student. You will have one week from the date of the absence to make up the missed assignments. Make-up work will not be accepted past the one-week deadline. This includes all homework, class work, quizzes and tests. Students should get missed notes and assignments from the teacher or from another student.

Class Webpage:

Assignments will be up dated on a daily basis on my webpage. I will also attach a copy of the class notes each day as a .pdf document. You will need Adobe Reader to open these documents. Please check the webpage often for changes or reminders.

Grading Policy:   I will be using a points system for grading.

Class average

Tests will count 60-100 points each.

Quizzes will count 20-30 points per chapter.

Homework will count 10-15 points per chapter.

Six weeks average will be as follows:  class average………75%

                                                                         Six weeks exam…..25%

Grades will be accessible on cougar grades and will be updated at least once a week (usually Friday afternoon).

Notebook Procedures:

All students will be required to keep a 1 or 2 inch 3-ring binder with 3 section dividers for the entire semester.

Section 1:  Notes (in order by date)

Section 2:  Class work/ Homework (in order by date)

Section 3:  Quizzes/ Tests (in order by date)

Homework:

Homework assignments will be given daily with students being required to show all work. All assignments must be completed on loose-leaf notebook paper (unless other instruction is given). No torn out papers (spiral notebooks).

Bathroom Breaks:

Students should use the bathroom before and after class. Students will be allowed 2 bathroom passes each six weeks. If not used, each pass will result in one point added to the lowest test grade before averaging the exam. Students will not be permitted to use the bathroom during lecture time or during the last 30 minutes of class. Students will be required to sign out and in when leaving and returning from the bathroom.

I want to ensure a successful semester. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at school at 393-7022 or by email at jennifer.doss@carteretk12.org

All students are responsible for their own learning and behavior in the classroom.
