Congratulations and we will see you Wednesday morning at Carteret General Hospital as we meet with Lookout Rotary for breakfast. (Be there between 7:00 and 7:15)
The T-shirts are coming, the T-shirts are coming!!!!
Be on the lookout for our Interact Club t-shirts that have been ordered. For those of you that ordered t-shirts, they should be in the week before Thanksgiving. You will be notified when they are here and the cost is $10.
Holiday Food Drive


The Interact Holiday Food Drive is well underway and students are bringing in non perishables to benefit two local food banks. Food items are being collected by first period classes and the class with the highest percentage of items brought in will feast on Bojangles for breakfast. The food drive ends, Friday, November 18th.
Congratulations to all that contributed to our Pink Out day for Breast Cancer this past week. We were able to collect close to $200 in sells of stickers and donations! Our goal is set for $500. We will continue to raise awareness with future fund raisers. Our donations will be given to the Carteret County Relay for Life.

Election of Officers will take place November 9th at our Wednesday afternoon meeting. T-shirt sizes need to be turned in so that our order may be placed. The cost is $10.00. Please see Mr. Heal or Mrs. Lyon for details.
Officiers along with Mrs.Lyon and Mr.Heal will meet our Sponsor Rotary Club for breakfast Wednesday morning, November 16th. We will meet at the Carteret General hospital in Morehead City for breakfast and then return for school in time for first period class.
We will also be gearing up for our Holiday Food Drive the second week of November. Food items collected will be divided between the Hem of His Garmet and the Salvation Army. We are looking forward to having a great turn out for our food drive.

Our first meeting was Wednesday afternoon, September 14th
and what a Great turnout we had. WE have a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of
projects on our agenda this year, already.

Thank you for a fabulous year once again here at Croatan. We accomplished quite a bit this year with our annual Holiday Food Drive, donating food trays to the CHS Alumni tent at Homecoming, Adopting our Christmas Family, raising money for a local teacher and his family, donating money to the victims of the Japan tsumani, Buckets of Love for Hospice and ending out the year by donating food trays to Project Graduation.
Then on top of it all we earned the distinguished Presidential Citation. We were awarded this for our continued dedication to community service. You guys are awesome!
Thank you again for a great year and I look forward to another Interact year beginning in the fall. A sepcial thank you to Mr.Rick Heal, our Lookout Rotary Member that has worked closely with us, Trevor Brownlow, our outgoing President and Lookout Rotary for supporting our efforts.

"Spring Project"

Our Spring project is entitled, "buckets of love". The agency we will be working with is Hospice. Sand buckets will be filled with the following items: hard candy, (peppermint, butterscoth, lemon), water bottles, stress balls, tissues, hand sanitizer, puzzle books, muffins, etc.
These buckets will be delivered before Spring Break. For futher information, please see

The following students were selected to attend RYLA this year: Rachel Brazda, Emily Farrington, Adrienne Norman, and Nick Zimarino. Alternate picks are Kelsey Hernandez and Cassie Morris. Congratulations to this students.
Next MEETING............
We are taking a break until after exams, so get some rest and be prepared for our next project; "Buckets of Love". The club hopes to kick this off the beginning of February. So, stay tuned.

The Interact club will be selling hat tickets for a dollar. The
purchase will allow you to wear your hat at school all day. The ticket purchased
will have to be visible for teachers and administrators to see at all times.
The money collected will be given to the parents of Brady Dauberman.
