Civics and Economics Course Syllabus
Through the study of Civics and Economics, students will acquire the skills
and knowledge necessary to become responsible and effective citizens in an
interdependent world. Students will need a practical understanding of these
systems of civics and economics that affect their lives as consumers and
citizens. Furthermore, this course serves as a foundation for
United States
History. It is recommended that this tenth grade course,
Civics and Economics, directly precede
the eleventh grade United States History
survey course to maintain continuity and build historical perspective.
Materials:
A two inch, 3 ring binder enclosed in a zippered case
A package of college ruled loose leaf paper
At least one Spiral notebook; college ruled
10 Black or blue ink pens, 10 pencils, and a 3 ring carrier for them

Grading: A: 93-100 B: 85-92 C: 74-84 D: 70-74 Failing: 69 or below
