E.C.A. - Early Class Assignment

(30 minutes)

1st - Daily Language Skills

    This is a daily editing exercise. Meaningful sentences are revised to demonstrate rules of the English language.

2nd - Journal Writing

    Students experiment with various modes of writing. This allows students the freedom to use writing skills in an authentic way as they are free to write about topics of interest without worry (although "guidelines" are given as this counts as a grade).

3rd - Vocabulary Workshop

    Students have daily class time to work on the VWS component of the course. VWS will increase vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and test taking skills. Students use spreadsheet schedule and workbook to complete an independent study of 20 new words per week. Teacher review session takes place each Thursday prior to VWS Quiz every Friday.
