I was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia.  I graduated from Heritage High school in 1983.  I attended Virginia Tech and Lynchburg College.  I earned a bachelor of science in mathematics in 1989 and a masters in counseling in 1997.  I taught high school math for eight years at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Virginia.  I moved to Carteret County in 1998 where I have been working as a counselor at Croatan High School.  I coached track for two years and cheerleading for 14 years.

I was married here in Carteret County on May 6, 2000 to a wonderful man...Jeff Krohn.  He is a native of Pennsylvania and currently works in management at Bally Refrigerated Box, Inc. in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Our daughter, Emily Paige, was born on February 8, 2003...she is our little miracle and cute too...of course, I am a little biased.

I am currently the sponsor of the Student Government Organization.
